Salty's on Alki and Redondo have both achieved the 2013 Award of Distinction from the Washington Wine Commission for all we do in promoting Washington Wine. The Washington Wine Awards are issued by the wineries in recognition and appreciation for all the promotion, education and sales that are made possible through the efforts of restaurants, retailers and distributors of Washington wine.
The huge success of the Washington State’s wine industry is so much more than producing excellent wine. Once they have made the wine, it to be promoted and made available to you, the consumer, which is where we come into the equation.
Sharing the amazing excellence of Washington wine has been one of the most rewarding parts of my efforts here at Salty’s Waterfront Seafood Grills. I have come to know many hard working, talented winemakers and growers, who have achieved national recognition and financial success, in part with our enthusiastic support. The fabulous popularity of Washington wine has been an asset for Salty’s, and we are pleased to know that our support provided a spark that proceeded the explosion of wineries and great wine.
