Features three private dining rooms: the Alki Room, the Duwamish Room and the intimate Admiral Stateroom (our "Wine Cellar") Located at sea level (the lower floor of our restaurant), our rooms give all of your guests spectacular waterside views of Elliot Bay and the Seattle skyline. Offering a fabulous views of Puget Sound, Maury Island and the Olympic Mountains, Salty's at Redondo beach features two rooms for your banquet event: The Aquarium and the Gallery room at the MaSt. The total combined meeting space is 2066 sq ft and is located 9 miles from the Sea-Tac airport. The MaST offers a most unique setting with 80 species of marine life, touch tanks, an octopus and jellyfish.

Salty's has two rooms: our North Shore View Room with seating 150 with 200 reception style. Our Private Wine Room is perfect for smaller groups and seats 30 with 40 reception style. Our covered deck will accommodate up to 30 seated and 50 reception style. Semi-private dining is available for up to 100 people. We can accommodate seminars and workshops for 10 to 50 people.

    Room Description

    At Alki Beach, Salty's has three private dining rooms the can be configured in 6 different ways: the Alki Room, the Duwamish Room and the intimate Admiral Stateroom (our "Wine Cellar"). All three are located at sea level (the lower floor of our restaurant) — our rooms give your guests spectacular waterside views of Elliot Bay and the Seattle skyline. All 3 rooms can be combined (we call it the Grand Skyline Ballroom) to accommodate parties up to 300 guests reception style or 230 seated.     Room Description

    Build over the water, Salty's at Redondo Beach facility offers spectacular views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains from our private dining facility capable of accommodating parties up to 80 guests. For larger groups, next door we can accommodate 80 (100 with additional Fire Marshal permit) in the brand new 2,500 square-foot Highline Community College Marine Science and Technology (MaST) Center. The MaST offers a most unique setting with 80 species of marine life, touch tanks, an octopus and jellyfish. And don't forget the ample free parking!

    Boastings a beautiful view of the Columbia River. Plus fresh Dungeness crab, wild Alaskan salmon and halibut in season, local oysters and mussels. And prime steaks, gourmet pasta, creative sandwiches and salads, a spectacular weekend brunch and waterfront decks. Salty’s staff will assist you in designing a private dining menu best suited for your event. We can also bring our party to you with off-site catering, boxed lunches, deliveries, and you can always pick up, too. Menus are available in the right column.

  • Private Dining FAQs
    Do You Charge For Your Rooms And When Are They Available?

    We simply have food and beverage minimums or "dollar values" that vary depending on the date and time. We try to put groups in the appropriate room so that the room minimum is waived when food and hosted beverages are purchased through Salty's. We sell the rooms evenings beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. (Alki-12:00 a.m.). We setup rooms between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please contact a Salty's Banquet Coordinator for the specific minimums.

    What Is Included With The Rooms?

    We take care of all the set-up, breakdown, linens, china, silverware, bartenders, service staff, parking and all clean-up.

    What About Set-up Times?

    While we believe you do not need to do much as far as set-up or decorating, you may certainly arrive any time before your function during the day time-slot and between the 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. evening time-slot while we are re-setting the room. Please check with your Catering Sales Manager on timing.

    Do You Have a Dance Floor?

    Dance floors are available to rent for your event. There are space limitation based on location, please contact your Catering Sales Manager for information.

    What About Parking?

    We have very large parking lots for your use free of charge. There is also street parking available. When business in the main dining room and banquet facilities requires it, we provide complimentary valet parking for guests in addition to street parking.

    How Does The Bar Work?

    There are many options when it comes to bars. For groups 99 or less, bar service is available for $75 for the duration of your event. For groups over 100, there is a $350 bar minimum that must be met and goes toward your overall food and beverage minimum. You may offer a full hosted bar to your guests or perhaps just beer and wine. Full cash bars are available with a bartender fee of $100 per bartender (cash bars do not work towards your food and beverage minimum).

    Are Bands & DJs Allowed?

    Yes, but you are required to rent all three private rooms. Otherwise, you may rent individual rooms and we can pipe in "styles" of digital music, or you may bring in your own cd's or i-pod.

    What About Handicapped Access?

    There is complete access located at sea-level (Alki) to allow guests to easily enter and exit the banquet facilities. Redondo is located on the ground level and has handicap access. Porltand has handicap access to the main floor, but not the second floor.

    Will There Be Someone In Charge Throughout Our Event?

    We always have a designated manager on duty throughout your entire function. Although everything will be finalized and detailed prior to your event, we are here to serve you and all of your guests.

    Can You Have Your Ceremony On Site?

    We welcome your wish to have ceremonies on site. We have a few locations that are suitable depending on weather and time of the year. It is best to speak to your Catering Sales Representative directly so we can discuss your vision of the ceremony and make your celebration perfect in every way.

    Decorations

    We have some center piece options, otherwise you are welcome to bring in your own flower/center piece.

    No-No's

    We regret that, due to environmental concerns, we cannot allow glitter, confetti, rice, flower petals or birdseed to be used or thrown inside or outside the facility. Open flames are not allowed.

    Please Discuss Arrangements

    Please discuss your arrangements with the Catering Director to determine whether a labor charge, equipment rental fee, or special service charges apply. Food and beverage prices are subject to change and may be confirmed 2 months prior to your event.

    Off Premise Catering?

    We offer full service off-premise catering to private homes, cruises and Seattle's sites. Our Catering Sales Representative visits your event site and makes recommendations for logistics and menu. Since each event is unique, will you a quote once the number of guests, menu, site and possible rental needs are determined. We work with you every step of the way to ensure that your event is successful.

    REDONDO/COLUMBIA-SPECIFIC: Salty's Reader Board

    If you would like to have a congratulatory message on Salty's reader board, the charge is $25.00 per side. Your message will be for a minimum of an hour before the reception, and for at least a half-hour afterwards.

    Off Premise Catering?

Our Catering Sales Representative visits your event site and makes recommendations for logistics and menu.     REDONDO-SPECIFIC: Can You Have a Wedding Ceremony on Site?

    We do not recommend ceremonies on site. We do a few every year but please remember Salty's is a restaurant. The changing room would be the ladies room. Rehearsals can be somewhat difficult with groups occupying rooms prior to your event. Remember, it's your big day and ceremonies performed on site at Salty's at Redondo Beach would take place in your existing reception set-up area.

    Property Descriptions

    Salty's on Alki — is located just eight minutes from downtown Seattle and 15 minutes from Sea-Tac Airport. All of our banquet rooms are located at sea level and feature "The Best View of Seattle in Seattle." Ample free parking is always available.

    Salty's at Redondo Beach is located in south Seattle 15 minutes from Sea-Tac Airport. All of our banquet rooms are located at sea level and feature "The Best View of Puget Sound." Ample free parking is always available.

    Salty's on the Columbia — is located just a few miles from the Portland International Airport on Marine Drive which runs along the south-side of the Columbia River. It is a short 10 minute drive from downtown Portland. Ample free parking is always available.

    Menu Selections
    ALKI-SPECIFIC:

    The restaurant menu can be used for groups of 20 or less. Parties up to 30 guests have the following menu options available: Private Dining Menu allowing three entrée selections for lunch and three entrée selections for dinner upon arrival, or the host may pre-select up to three entrée selections from the banquet menus. Groups up to 100 may pre-select up to three entrées. Groups over 100 may pre-select up to two entrées. For groups of 30 or more menu cards must be made by the host of the event.

    PORTLAND-SPECIFIC:

    Parties 30 guests and up have several menu options available. Please consult your banquet coordinator for more details.

    The Starter and Dessert must be the same for the entire group.

    We suggest ordering a minimum of 10-12 pieces of food per guest as a guideline for your buffet. A general estimate for adult beverage service is about 2 to 3 drinks per guest. Beverages from the bar are charged on a per-drink basis.

    Wine or sparkling wine may be ordered by the glass or by the bottle. One bottle contains 4 to 6 glasses of wine. We do not require the purchase of a specific number of bottles. We will open wine only as needed. You will be charged only for bottles opened.

    Our Pastry Chef is available to help you select your cake. We will set up a cake table with plates, forks, cutting and serving utensils. Our staff will cut and serve cake for you. A cake service fee of $1.00 plus 20% per person applies only if the cake is not provided by Salty's.

    Guarantees

    Your final guarantee (the number of guests attending) and all entrée counts must be given to a Salty's Banquet coordinator five business days prior to your event. You will be billed for the guarantee or the number of meals served, whichever is greater. Once you have met the room minimum, prices include room fee, house linens, silver, china, glassware, and service staff. Staff will serve beverages throughout your event, pick up plates, and keep the room neat. Food is prepared for the number of people guaranteed. We will also do all room setup and breakdown, and the dishes! All food and beverage are to be provided by Salty's Waterfront Seafood Grills.

    Deposits & Minimums

    Deposits are required to reserve a room and will be applied toward your final bill. Each room has a food and beverage minimum associated with it. The minimum must be reached through food and hosted beverage, excluding service charge and sales tax. If minimum is not met the remainder will be charged as a room fee (subject to 20% service charge and sales tax.)

    Wedding Cakes

    Our in-house bakery has a full line of wedding cakes. The cake cutting fee for wedding cakes is $150.
