Mint and Black Pepper Honey

This is a very simple recipe and once you've made it, you'll want to make it again! This honey is great on fruit, fried chicken, cornbread or toast.

Mint and Black Pepper Honey

(Makes 1/2 cup)

Ingredients

1/2 cup honey
8 cracks black pepper
4 mint stems

Directions
  1. Place ingredients into a sauce pot and turn to medium heat.
  2. Warm thoroughly and remove from heat.
  3. Let sit for 30 minutes and then pull out mint stems.
  4. Serve with fruit, fried chicken, cornbread or toast.

Chef's Note: Great on fruit, fried chicken, cornbread, or toast.
