Here is a great homemade chili recipe that goes great with a dollop of sour cream or if you want to keep it low fat then mashed avocado.

Chef’s Turkey Chili

Serves 4

Chef’s Turkey Chili

2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 pinch salt, kosher
1 can tomato sauce
1 can pinto beans
1 can garbanzo beans
1 large white onion, diced
2 low sodium chicken broth
4 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 pound cooked turkey, diced

Chef’s Turkey Chili
  1. Place all ingredients, except the turkey, in your crock pot and set to high.
  2. Cook for 1 hour.
  3. Turn to medium and cook for an additional 3–4 hours.
  4. Stir in the cooked turkey and salt to taste.
