Redondo Beach Boardwalk Espresso Bar

Redondo Beach Boardwalk and Salty's Espresso Bar

Skip the lines at Starbucks and save yourself precious time by heading straight to the beach at Redondo for the best coffee in the Seattle area! The Redondo Boardwalk Espresso Bar serves local Italian-style roasting and blending of coffee, Caffe D'arte Gourmet Drip Coffee, espresso, lattes, caramel macchiato, mochas, Italian sodas, tea and more. You'll especially appreciate our fresh pastries changing daily.

The beauty of Salty's Boardwalk Espresso Bar is that you'll find it located adjacent to the Redondo fishing pier, boat launch, boardwalk and The Marine Science and Technology Center with many fun things to do. Walk along the boardwalk, cast your fishing pole off the dock or watch the divers as they maintain the habitat surrounding Redondo. Bring your boat and launch it for a fun day on Puget Sound, and in the summertime you can even rent kayaks or paddle boards.

  • AMENITIES: Beach, boardwalk, boat launch, boat mooring, fishing pier, parking, picnic area, restrooms, scenic view, seating, walking path, espresso bar, seafood grill and touch tanks at the MaST Center; summertime kayak and paddle board rentals
  • LOCATION: Redondo Beach Drive and Redondo Way, Des Moines, WA 98198 (6.7 miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport)
  • ESPRESSO BAR HOURS: Sat.-Sun. 7am-7pm; Mon.-Fri. 7am-10am & 3-7pm

Be sure to visit The Marine Science and Technology Center, a marine biology and aquarium facility of Highline College. The aquarium's 15 tanks and two touch tanks (kids love this) hold 3,000 gallons of seawater and more than 250 native Puget Sound marine species. The MaST Center is open for public viewing Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and in the summer on Thursdays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

SEAFOOD WITH A VIEW: If you crave more than coffee and pastries, be sure to visit Salty's Seafood Grill for lunch or dinner daily, or Sunday brunch. Our cafe-bar serves live music on select evenings. View our menus and make a reservation before you head over. Recently reviewed on StuffedSuitcase.com in "It's Time to Ditch Downtown and Explore Seattle Southside" here’s what a recent visitor to our neighborhood shared about Salty's Seafood Grill at Redondo Beach:

"This is the place to head if you’re craving delicious food with an waterfront view. We started off with the crab cake, which was so tasty, filled with flaky crab and smooth flavors. Then we all had a variety of dishes, I went for the fish tacos, yum, and hubby chose the seasonal Salmon Berry Salad. The chef visited our table and explained how they try to use a lot of local ingredients, so you’re supporting local small business when you eat there too! As a bonus for families, right next door is a Marine Institute that features some salt water touch tanks, a big hit with my girls."*
