What an amazing year we had in 2019! From the little everyday moments to the once in a lifetime events, we truly witnessed some amazing occasions. What a joy it was to have been a part of these special celebrations right here at Salty’s on Alki.

With the New Year brings the timeless tradition of reflection and perspective. As we sit here and plan for the year to come, I ‘m still giving thought to the amazing strides our Catering team made this year. This past Fall, I challenged the team to think intentionally about each guest we serve and to go beyond our standards and create memorable experiences for our valued guests. Our goal has been to create “the WOW factor” for those we serve. It has been so fun reading through the last couple of months of these momentary impressions that I know will stay with our guests each time they remember their event.

We are so excited to be a part of the upcoming celebrations 2020 has in store. I can’t help but think, “how can we continue to create joy in others, and in turn, ourselves?” A pillar of our team culture is service to others. I’ve always thought that we get so much more when we give than when we receive. As cliché as it sounds, it is just so true. I can’t wait for our team to reach new heights in service as we welcome even more guests this year.

One thing we want to dedicate ourselves to is the success of creating happiness in our each person who visits. Though this has been a long-time commitment of our brand, this year we are recommitting ourselves to this endeavor.

We also want to highlight others in our region who are also dedicated to building and furthering community through service, by honoring them with the opportunity to celebrate with us. We’ve been on a mission recently of spotlighting local leaders for their achievements and gifting them with dining experiences to congratulate a job well done. It’s been such a pleasure getting to meet such inspiring achievers.

As 2019 ends, we are leaning into the foundational traditions that we’ve come to be known for. We look forward to the opportunity to serve and celebrate you in 2020!
